It is necessary to determine for what purposes you need an account. As an individual, you can open an unlimited number of accounts in any banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan, except the National One.

You can open:

current accounts – used, as a rule, for storage, money transfers, as well as card transactions;
savings accounts are deposits where money is stored and on which interest is accrued.
Accounts are opened and maintained both in tenge and in foreign currency.
When opening an account, the bank assigns an individual identification code (IIC), which is the 20-digit number of the bank account of the bank's client.

What documents are needed to open an account?

It is enough for residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide an identity document.
Non-residents also need to provide a copy of the certificate of registration of a non-resident as a taxpayer.
After submitting these documents, the bank manager draws up an agreement, which must describe all the conditions for storage, refund of money, the amount of bank commissions, the procedure for termination and termination of the agreement. Carefully read all the terms and conditions before signing the contract.
