IVF is?
IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) is one of the assisted reproductive technologies used in patients with infertility. This conception differs from the classical one in what happens outside the mother’s body:
- The necessary genetic material is taken from the mother and father;
- In the laboratory, the eggs are fertilized and then the embryo is transferred to a special incubator.

Who can claim the quota?
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan are sent to conduct IVF within the guaranteed amount of free medical assistance, if there are indications for obtaining a quota::
- Patients of reproductive age with good ovarian reserve (sufficient number of eggs for successful IVF program). Patient’s somatic condition should be normal..
- The quota will not be given to those who have serious diseases that will not allow you to carry the pregnancy yourself. Contraindications to the IVF program include various ovarian tumors, uterus, malignant neoplasms (cancer), uterine cavity problems that prevent embryo implantation or gestation of pregnancy, acute inflammatory diseases of any organs, somatic and mental diseases, which are contraindications for pregnancy and childbirth, low ovarian reserve.
How many times can I get a quota?
IVF within the Guaranteed Amount of Free Medical Care is provided once a year.
What clinics provide quotas for the IVF procedure?
Five health-care organizations operate on a quota:
- Limited Liability Partnership International Clinical Center of Reproduction «PERSONA» (Almaty);
- «National scientific center of motherhood and childhood» (Astana);
- Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management «Scientific Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology» (Almaty);
- Limited liability partnership «Astana ECOLife» (Astana);
- Medical Center «Marriage and Family» (Taraz);
- Limited Liability Partnership «ECO Center» (Almaty);
- Limited Liability Partnership «ECOMed»;
- Limited liability partnership «Privat clinic» (Almaty);
- Limited Liability Partnership ECO Center (Ust-Kamenogorsk).
Each clinic that runs IVF has a website and official price data, statistics and is open for consultation. The patient can read the information and choose a clinic.

The order of submitting the applications
If there are indications to get quota your actions should be as follows:
- Registration in the waiting list at the maternity clinic at the place of residence;
- Getting referrals from the antenatal clinic to the reproductive clinic for consultation of the reproductive doctor;
- Consultation of a reproductologist with further examination in a reproduction clinic. To be effective, the reproduction room must be visited by both partners;
- The test is considered to be successful if no contraindications have been found;
- Completion of the commission in the clinic IVF, to obtain the protocol with the consent of the clinic IVF procedure;
- Submission of the minutes received at the commission for placing in the queue in the women’s consultation for quota;
- Obtaining a quota;
- Agreement with the reproductologist of the clinic date of IVF and registration in the portal;
- Joining the IVF program with the implementation of all recommendations and requirements of the reproductologist.
