Who can apply
Individuals who have graduated from a higher education institution with a bachelor's degree program can enroll in master's programs at universities in Kazakhstan.
Master's studies are carried out
- Free under state educational order (grant);
- On a paid basis.
It is important to know! Citizens of Kazakhstan can apply for a master's degree program only once, i.e. the second master's degree will only be paid.
Foreigners can count on education:
- on a paid basis;
- free of charge under an international agreement.
Deadline(s) for accepting documents
- Advertisements with specialties are published through the media 15 days before the start of accepting documents.
- Acceptance of necessary documents and applications for admission to the master's program is carried out *from July 10 to July 30 at higher educational institutions (HEIs) where masters are trained.

Required documents for admission
Persons entering the master's program submit the following documents to the admissions committee:
application addressed to the head of the university (organization);
a copy of an identity document;
a copy of a higher education diploma;
a copy of the certificate of passing the foreign language test (if available);
a document confirming work activity and a personal personnel record sheet (if you have work experience);
list of scientific and scientific-methodological works (if available);
medical certificate in form 086-U;
6 photographs – 3x4 cm.
In addition to copies of documents, you must also submit their originals for verification. After verification, the documents are returned.
Procedure for conducting entrance exams
Entrance exams for master's and residency programs are held from *10 to August 20, enrollment - until August 25.
Upon admission, persons must pass two exams:
in a foreign language of your choice;
by specialty.
The foreign language test is conducted in English, German or French at your choice. Persons with international certificates are exempt from the entrance exam in a foreign language.

Enrollment process
- Enrollment as a master's student is carried out based on the decision of the admissions committee.
- Persons who receive the highest scores based on the sum of entrance exam scores are enrolled in a master's degree program:
- for a specialized master's degree, at least 130 points, including at least 30 points in a foreign language;
- for scientific and pedagogical master's programs at least 150 points.
