If you have lost your job, you need to

1. Registering at the Employment Center.
2. Complete the registration process as an unemployed individual

In which cases you cannot be considered unemployed?

According to the article 14, paragraph 6 of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Employment of the Population” (with amendments as for 25.06.2020.) are not registered as unemployed:

1. Children under 16 years old;
2. People who are under employment contract, including full-time or part time work or other remunerated work that generates income);
3. People who have reached the retirement age establishes by article 11, paragraph 1, of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “on pension provision in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
4. People who have submitted documents containing false information about unemployment and earnings (income), as well as other false information;
5. Students in the upper grades of general education schools who apply to participate in active employment promotion measures in accordance with this law.
