State support measures for the creative industry were discussed at a meeting
Vice Minister of Culture and Information Yevgeny Kochetov met with creative professionals, including producers, musicians, designers, artists, animators, board game developers, copyright experts, and others. The parties discussed current government initiatives aimed at developing the creative industry. Specifically, the Law on the Development of the Creative Industry, signed by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on January 10, as well as the draft Order defining the rules for providing state support and incentives for this economic sector. These innovations are aimed at creating favorable conditions for the commercialization of the creative sector and promoting Kazakhstan's creative products and services on the international market. This year, the Government will also establish a creative industries development fund, whose objectives will include talent acquisition, project and infrastructure development, and promoting the export of Kazakhstan's creative products and services.
