Offsite meeting of youth literary club Alqa held in Zhetysu region.

An offsite meeting of the youth literary club Alqa under the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan took place in Zhetysu region.

The event brought together representatives of the Ministry, young poets and writers from different regions of the country, winners of national literary competitions, as well as local writers and librarians.

Discussions focused on issues such as the publication of socially significant literature, support for young authors, and the organization of literary contests. Writers also shared their thoughts and suggestions on the development of literature and exchanged opinions.

Participants highlighted the need to strengthen literary ties among youth, support regional writers, develop the book market, and promote translation activities.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, together with the akimats of Almaty and Zhetysu regions, organized a literary tour dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Ilyas Zhansugurov and the 100th anniversary of Berdibek Sokpakbaev.

The tour, which began in Almaty region, continued in Zhetysu, where participants visited the birthplace of famous writer Sain Muratbekov, explored the apple orchard and house that inspired his novel “Wild Apple Tree.”

Members of the club also visited the Ilyas Zhansugurov Literary Museum, the regional museum of history named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev, the memorial museum of akyn Sary, and the Tamshybulak spring.
