THE YOUTH OF ULYTAU HELD A CLEAN-UP DAY IN THE SACRED PLACES OF THEIR NATIVE LAND

The youth of Ulytau supported the all-republican action "Kieli Tabigat" by holding a clean-up in the sacred places of their native land, Khabar 24 reports. Foresters also joined the initiative of young people. The map of the sacred places of Ulytau is represented by 25 historical and cultural monuments. One of them is the Aulietau tract. This is the most visited holy place, where thousands of tourists have been coming for a long time. That's why a lot of garbage accumulates here. More than a hundred forest guards came to the aid of eco-activists. Only recently they took out mountains of plastic and bottles from here. Yerden Rakhmanyaev, Head of the Department of the National Natural Park "Ulytau": - The number of tourists is growing every year. And, unfortunately, there is also more and more garbage here. We clean up 2-3 times a week, and as you can see, the garbage has accumulated again. Most of the sacred places of the region are located in the national park. Therefore, the attention to ecology is close here. Young people say such actions foster an ecological culture. Tourists are constantly being explained that nature should be treated carefully by Akerke Karimova, inspector of the Youth resource Center of the Ulytau district: - Many tourists no longer leave garbage behind them. This is noticeable and very pleasing. But we eco-activists should not relax either. Young people understand the importance of such events and actively participate in the republican campaign "Kieli tabigat". The mass clean-up covered other districts of the region. An environmental action was launched in the foothills of the Arganat and Khan Ordasy peaks. Along with garbage collection, eco-activists, volunteers and foresters carried out sanitary cleaning in the forests, ridding the trees of dead wood.
