More than 56 thousand people came to the citywide clean-up in Astana
A citywide clean-up was held in the capital as part of the environmental month "Zhasyl Astana". More than 56 thousand citizens came out to clean up Astana from garbage, the official website of the akimat of the city reports.
The traditional ecological month "Zhasyl Astana" is held in the capital from September 16 to October 14. As part of this work, several municipal and citywide clean-up days are held with the participation of city services, labor collectives and active citizens.
On September 16, the citywide clean-up day, which started at 09:00, was attended by young people, volunteers, employees of more than 200 companies, representatives of SMEs, government agencies and all concerned who cleared the territory near their organizations, offices and so on.
Sanitary cleaning, landscaping and landscaping of the territory of the capital are carried out on subbotniks, which will last until October 14.
Until 12:00, the townspeople took out almost 110 tons of garbage. They planted about 1,200 green spaces. Among the planted greenery – elm, maple, pine, shrubs.
