In Shymkent, the number of citizens included in the category of young people has reached 363 thousand.
Almost 400 thousand creatively thinking, full of breakthrough ideas and projects, energetic young people – this is the force that needs to be used for the development of the city. However, youth is also inexperience, so a lot of help is provided to young people in Shymkent.
At the meeting of the Youth Policy Council under the Akimat of Shymkent, the most pressing issues were considered. Thus, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, within the framework of the national project, preferential microcredit for young people has been launched since this year. Now young people aged 21 to 35 years can get a loan of up to 5 million tenge at 2.5 percent per annum. In this direction, it is planned to issue microcredits from the city budget to those who want to engage in entrepreneurship, production of goods, sale, provision of services, production of products.
The projects "Youth Practice" and "First Workplace" are implemented in the field of employment, which allows yesterday's graduates to gain the necessary experience. We are constantly monitoring the targeted use of funds allocated for projects for which young people have received loans. In addition, job fairs are regularly held especially for young people.
"We need to actively use the forces of the young in the development of the city. Working together is a great experience for young people. In any business, we must strive for quality. At the same time, high-quality, effective implementation of state programs to support young people is important. Today, regardless of the category of youth, comprehensive state support is provided.
Special programs have been developed for young people who cannot find a job due to lack of work experience. Young people who want to do business also have great opportunities. Measures to provide housing for the younger generation are also yielding results. Comprehensive assistance is provided to young people who at one time could not get an education. In a word, all opportunities are provided for the younger generation," it was stated at a meeting of the Youth Policy Council.
