With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an expert meeting on “Constitutional Amendments and the Contribution of Youth to the Development of the Country” was held as part of the Jastar X dialogue platform of the Youth Research Center.
The event aimed to explain the main provisions of the draft new Constitution, discuss reforms aimed at creating a more just, legal, and people-centered model of government, and examine the development of public dialogue institutions and strengthening the role of youth in decision-making processes.
During the meeting, Senate Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanna Asanova and dialogue platform moderator Gulishkhan Nakhbayeva, Director of the Youth Research Center, discussed the content of the constitutional amendments and their significance for the country’s long-term development.
The experts also emphasized the importance of increasing civic engagement and citizen participation in the national referendum, which will take place on March 15. The expert meeting was attended by a member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the National Coalition, heads of departmental committees and institutes of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, experts, lawyers, public figures, representatives of youth organizations and youth resource centers, volunteers, and media representatives.
