Republican Training Seminar “School of State Youth Policy” Held in Aktobe
From June 10 to 12, the republican training seminar “School of State Youth Policy” was held in Aktobe on the initiative of the Youth Research Center “Zhastar.” The three-day event took place with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The seminar brought together youth policy specialists from Shymkent, as well as the Abai, Akmola, Atyrau, Aktobe, Zhambyl, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Mangystau, Turkestan, and West Kazakhstan regions.
The main objective of the project is to enhance the professional competencies of youth policy specialists, strengthen their decision-making skills through modern management and project-based approaches, and develop leadership potential along with effective working practices.
First Day of the Program
On the first day, Director of the Youth Research Center “Zhastar” Gulishan Nakhbayeva and Head of the Youth Policy Department of Aktobe Region Alimbek Turaliev delivered welcoming remarks.
During the event, key initiatives and innovative projects aimed at youth policy development were presented. Participants were introduced to the content and implementation mechanisms of projects such as the “Digital Youth Map,” “Virtual Advisor,” the analytical report “Youth of Kazakhstan,” the Youth Development Index, and the “Young Experts Accelerator.”
As part of the first training session, journalist and media manager Makhabbat Yessen conducted a lecture on youth support and data-driven decision-making.
In the afternoon, participants took part in a guided excursion across key city sites, including the Aliya Museum, the Sagi Zhienbayev Regional Youth Library, the Aktobe Football Academy, and the Koblandy Batyr Central Stadium.
Second and Third Days of Training
On the second and third days of the program, classes on artificial intelligence were delivered by Gulshat Kalbayeva, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department of the “Cyber.formula3” school.
The sessions covered the application of artificial intelligence and digital solutions in youth resource centers, youth support systems, data-driven decision-making, self-presentation, and effective engagement with youth audiences.
The training seminar enabled participants to master modern approaches to youth work and reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical exercises.
Youth Resource Centers in Kazakhstan
It should be noted that Kazakhstan currently operates 235 youth resource centers as part of the state youth policy framework. Of these, 17 are regional, 37 are city-level, and 181 are district-level centers.
These centers provide young people with informational, advisory, legal, psychological, and social support services, contributing to the effective implementation of state youth policy throughout the country.
