Today, in Kosshi, Akmola Region, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an expert meeting was held by the “Youth” Research Center on the topic “The Draft New Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Comprehensive Reforms.”
As Gulishan Nakhbayeva, Director of the “Youth” Research Center and event moderator, noted, the meeting aimed to analyze the key provisions of the draft new Constitution, discuss systemic reforms reflecting the transition to a more just, legal, and human-centered model of government, and the role of youth in decision-making and the development of public dialogue institutions.
Speaking at the meeting, Azamat Kapyshev, Akim of Kosshi, emphasized that the draft new Constitution is based on the principles of justice and Kazakhstan’s responsibility to future generations.
During the expert meeting, members of parliament, heads of research institutes, lawyers, and professors exchanged views with the youth, discussing the content of the constitutional amendments and their significance for the country’s long-term development. Speakers included Gennady Shipovskikh, a member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on constitutional reforms as a strategic direction for state development; Ekaterina Smolyakova, a member of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on legislative reforms and their social significance; Ermek Abdrasulov, professor of the Department of Constitutional and Civil Law at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, on the scientific and legal foundations of constitutional amendments; Luiza Uzarov, director of the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Studies, on issues of public harmony and public dialogue in the context of social processes; and Dastan Kosherbayev, PhD in Political Science and head of the final analytical sector at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on new constitutional reforms and the transformation of the public administration system.
Participating in the event were members of the Senate and Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of relevant committees of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, research institutes, the Koshy city administration, youth resource centers, the expert community, volunteers, and representatives of the media.
It should be noted that the Youth Research Center currently serves as an expert platform uniting government agencies, the scientific community, and young people, focusing on developing evidence-based youth policy, public dialogue, and long-term strategic decisions.
