On February 9, a meeting between students, volunteers, and activists with Majilis deputies and members of the Constitutional Reform Commission took place in Almaty. It was organized by the Center for Public Development of the Almaty City Department of Internal Policy and was held in an interactive format.
According to Informburo, a special element of the program was a constitutional battle, during which participants discussed key provisions of the reforms through debate and intellectual competition.
Following the meeting, the source reports, “active youth of Almaty expressed support for the draft new Constitution, emphasizing the significance of the proposed changes for the country’s future.”
Astana
On February 15, support for the draft new Constitution was expressed in the capital through a large-scale youth concert. The event was organized by the National Coalition “For the People’s Constitution of a Fair and Progressive Kazakhstan!” The coalition was founded recently, on February 13, 2026. It unites representatives of five political parties and over 300 public organizations.
Famous Kazakhstani performers performed on stage, while coalition representatives immediately conducted outreach efforts on the key provisions of the new draft Constitution and urged citizens to participate in the upcoming referendum.
According to the organizers, “participants emphasized the importance of informed choice and active citizenship.”
East Kazakhstan Region
On February 16, the “We Are for a New Constitution” forum was held in the East Kazakhstan Region. Members of the “School of Young Activists” participated in the meeting. The press release stated that they “unanimously supported the new draft Constitution.”
Regional Akim Nurymbet Saktaganov noted that such meetings “instill active citizenship in young people, and the region becomes a platform for dialogue that unites youth.”
Shymkent
On the same day, a large-scale event under the slogan “Together for the Renewal of the Country” took place in Shymkent. It brought together young people, artists, and athletes—according to the organizers, over a thousand participants gathered. The speakers emphasized that they “perceive constitutional reform as a step toward just social change.”
“This isn’t just a protest—it’s an important step for our shared future. The new Constitution is a solid foundation for a just society,” the press release quotes.

Active support for the upcoming referendum has also begun on social media. Many users are adding a frame with the inscription “Zhana konstitutsiya” to their profile pictures. Templates for the frame are available on the website Twibbonize. Thousands of users are supporting the frame campaigns.
